Powder + Pearls

Tracey and Jodie are a wife and wife team who shoot and film Weddings in the South West of the UK. They operate as a Photographer & Videographer respectively, and their work is vibrant, fun, personal and often – due to the locations they have on their doorstep, epic. Their work is full of life but unfortunately their site had dated, and become difficult to manage and it wasn’t doing their portfolio justice at all. Also, due to years of theme updates and outdated plugins, it had become bloated with code and had wasn’t loading anywhere near as fast as it should have been.

Our brief was to migrate the site to Kadence, redesign, rebuild and future-proof the site. We were’t looking to re-invent the wheel with this site – we just needed to refine the style and layout. We kept their current colour palette and modernised the fonts, added a few little elegant touches and put their work front-and-centre.

As you can see the design had dated over time and was in need of some TLC

How it’s going…

Tracey and Jodie also had a very clear vision for their new site and set us a clear brief. We kept the ‘vibe’ of their work and created a minimalist portfolio (with a few splashes of pink, obvs). Now it has a fashion magazine feel to it, without overpowering the images. The SEO is solid and the load speed is good.
